Chris Guymon

President

BIO

I have lived in Cache Valley for over 20 years. I have been married for over 25 years. I started my soccer journey with my son playing recreation soccer in 2009 and getting recruited to play competitively. Having no idea what the soccer world would bring we took him to every training we could. His team became a premiere level team. I then coached my daughter’s team which had a mix of players wanting a competitive experience and those who had a love for the game and soccer community.

I have run my own insurance agency for over 20 years which has taught me the ins and outs of running a business. I have applied these lessons to being president of NUU.

We are a club that strives to work through collaboration and give players opportunities to grow at all levels of play. Either through competition in the ECNL RL or through teaching players to give back through service in the community like our Christmas cookie dough fundraiser for those in need.

My goal is for these players to be better citizens of the World when they are done, and to have learned to love the game of soccer, and continue playing or coaching themselves in our community.

I am a proud husband and father to five wonderful children. My passion for serving the community shines through in various aspects of life, and I find great joy in being an active part of it. Whether it’s camping, fishing, bicycling, or exploring other outdoor activities, I love spending time in nature and staying active.

By day, I own and operate Bair Auto Repair, where I am fully committed to providing quality service to our customers. Outside of work, I’ve been coaching soccer for around 15 years, an experience that has brought me immense joy. For the past 8 years, I’ve also served on the Northern Utah United board of directors, working to ensure the continued growth and success of the organization. There’s nothing more fulfilling than watching young players develop and grow through the beautiful game of soccer.

BIO

My name is Nathan Oak and I’m an accountant for Logan City and the proud father of 4 kids (3 girls and 1 boy). I grew up all over the country as my father was a nuclear engineer. Most of my growing up time was spent in Eastern Washington and Northern San Diego County. My wife, Genessa, is also from Southern California. It was in Washington that I started my love of soccer. I started playing at 4 years old and played competitive soccer for over 20 years having played in high school and college. I also was a registered soccer referee for more than a decade.

I have lived in Cache Valley since 1992 and graduated from USU in 1996. I love this valley and all it has to offer. All 4 of my kids play for Northern Utah United. I love the all-inclusive, nurturing, developing attitude of NUU and am proud to be associated with such an amazing group.

I consider myself to have the lowest “soccer IQ” in the NUU family, but after joining NUU, my reluctance to get involved in youth sports quickly transformed into a desire to share this experience with as many youth as possible. Through discussions with the NUU staff, I realized the best way for me to contribute was by joining the board.

As a small business owner, I recognized the opportunity to apply lessons learned from managing my own business to help NUU handle its growth and build a solid foundation for long-term success. I believe that our youth are our most precious resource, and I see NUU as a fantastic platform for them to learn life lessons that will serve them well beyond the field.

Wade has served on the NUU Board of Directors since: 2021

Current roles on NUU Board of Directors: Public Relations, Marketing, Branding

Wade Olsen has been involved in communications, brand management, marketing, campaign management, PR and many other messaging disciplines for most of his career. In addition to his professional experience, he has been involved in youth soccer for over a decade and holds a National D license. Plus he is 48 years old, which, in his words: “…is ancient, so maybe all that experience with rotary phones will help in some way.”

He has served on the NUU board and has worked to improve its communications strategy, messaging, and other communication elements. More than anything, in his words: “I want to make sure that NUU is telling the right story, in the right way, to the right people so that youth soccer can continue to grow in the valley! I have a strong belief that NUU offers the highest value, and is the place where kids can reach their full potential, and learn to love soccer for a lifetime.”

Finally, he has 3 boys currently involved in youth soccer playing with Bryan Hickman’s ’05, Kirt Sadler’s ’07 team, and his youngest son plays on both a ’10 and ’11 team.

So you could say that he has an ulterior motive to make sure that NUU is very successful!

BIO

My name is Sierra, I am a Cache Valley native, and grew up playing, refereeing, coaching and volunteering in this community- and excited to now be a part of it again. Now with the added bonus of getting to watch my kids experience it for themselves!

I attended Sky View High School and then moved on to USU where I graduated in 2014. I went on to start a career in Event Coordinating, and then into Project Management. I enjoyed my job immensely, and prided myself in my productivity and the commitment I brought to my employment. I did eventually leave become a full time stay at home mom.

My husband and I got married in 2015, and now live in Hyde Park with our three little girls, our cat and dog, and five chickens. When we are not running from activity to activity. We love to spend time outdoors- biking, hiking, camping and traveling.

In my personal life- I am a lover of all types of caffeine and sweets! I run a side hustle of making custom bespoke cakes. It pretty much fills every inch of time we have left in our schedule. But I love the creativity of it so much!

I love being able to be a part of NUU and the soccer community again- and I’m so excited to get to grow with this program!

Monte McCulloch

BIO

My name is Monte McCulloch. I am a stay at home dad of two wonderful girls that have now both gone off to college. I am a science teacher by trade where I was introduced to coaching soccer in 1999. I coached middle school and high school soccer for four years before taking a hiatus while raising young girls. Their love of the game dragged me back into coaching in 2012 where we spent the next 12 years living and breathing soccer as a family.

Our family is heavily rooted in the out doors. From hunting and fishing to hiking and biking to working on our orchard and cider mill you will most likely find us outdoors!

I am happy to be serving the soccer coming new roll on the hoard of directors!
